Recently, the X52-S2.0 engine of WinGD, a subsidiary of China Shipping Group, completed the type approval test in Zhuhai Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd., and successfully passed the type approval of major classification societies around the world.

X52-S2.0 is a short-stroke two-stroke low-speed engine developed on the basis of the X52 model. This engine combines compact design, simplicity and superior fuel efficiency. It is especially suitable for shallow draft ships or ships with specific requirements for main deck and engine room height. Currently, the types of ships that use short-stroke engines include container feeder ships, car carriers, multi-purpose cargo ships, and ro-ro/container carriers. The model meets IMO emission II standards and can meet IMO emission III standards by configuring iSCR or HPSCR.

Successful development of power components with independent intellectual property rights of China Shipboard Power Group

Recently, CSSC Marine Power Parts Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CSSC Power Group, successfully developed the largest cylinder diameter (450mm) medium-speed dual-fuel engine casting fuselage with independent intellectual property rights.

The 450mm bore medium-speed dual-fuel engine is a new generation of super-large bore dual-fuel medium-speed engine independently developed by China Shipboard Power Group. Its integral body length exceeds 7 meters, width and height also exceed 2 meters, and the casting weight reaches 63 tons. The material quality requirements of the casting body are extremely high, and the deformation control of the casting is difficult, which puts forward higher requirements for the treatment of molten iron in the smelting process.

LNG storage tank top discharge valve localization project successfully passed the acceptance

Recently, Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute LNG tank top relief valve localization project successfully passed the factory acceptance.

Tank top relief valve is an essential safety device for LNG storage tanks. It is a low-temperature safety device that relies on the medium discharged from the pilot valve to drive the main valve to open and close. When the pressure of the storage tank exceeds the set pressure, the valve exhales the gas medium to ensure constant pressure in the storage tank and avoid damage caused by overpressure. The successful acceptance of the localization project has broken the market situation that the discharge valve on the top of the existing large-scale LNG storage tank is monopolized by imported products, and will effectively promote the full localization of large-scale LNG storage technology.

China Ship Engine Achieve Annual Target "Double Half" Ahead of Progress"

Recently, CSSC engines have shipped 5 mainframes for customers such as GSI and COSCO. So far, the company has fully completed all the tasks and targets for the first half of 2024, and achieved the "double half" of the main tasks and targets such as business undertaking, total industrial output value, operating income and total profit in the first half of 2024 16 days ahead of schedule: the number of completed units of the main engine has increased by 17.2 year on year, of which the delivery of dual-fuel main engine has been continuously accelerated, with the number of units and horsepower increasing by 85.7 and 64.7 respectively year on year; successfully submitted the first methanol dual-fuel mainframe 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIM + EGRBP in China, and made significant progress in the layout of low-carbon and zero-carbon fuel. Two world-class twin-machine twin-paddle mainframes 6X72DF-2.2 + iCER were delivered continuously, further enriching the engine product spectrum.

Yuchai Ship Signed Contract for 12 Main Engines

Recently, Yuchai Ship and China Merchants Industry Yangzhou Jinling held a contract signing ceremony for 12 mainframe units. This time, 10 5S50ME-C9.7-LPSCR and 2 5X52-S2.0-HPSCR hosts were signed. Up to now, China Merchants Industry has become the largest customer of Yuchai Shipping, and the total number of hosts cooperated by both sides has exceeded 40.

Weihai Heavy Industry Technology Won Orders for 5 Sets of Methanol Fuel Supply System

Recently, Weihai Heavy Industry Technology and Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry signed orders for methanol fuel supply system projects for 2 325000-ton VLOC and 3 114000-ton oil tankers, of which the 325000-ton VLOC first-made ship will become the world's first methanol dual-fuel powered large ore carrier actually put into operation.
